The 5.2-liter V10 engine in the R8 produces 525 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque, which is more than enough to move the aluminum-bodied coupe from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and to a top track speed of 196 mph. As with the V-8 car, the R8 5.2 FSI Quattro makes use of Audi's legendary Quattro all-wheel-drive system, coupled to the R tronic dual-clutch gearbox with Sport Mode. This R8 V-10 wears exclusive 19 5-arm-double-spoke-design polished aluminum alloy wheels with performance tires. It is equipped with magnetic ride control as standard equipment and the suspension is even more tuned for performance than the standard R8. To efficiently and effectively bring the car to a halt, the brake system was beefed up as well. Eight-piston calipers reside in the front, four-piston calipers stop in back, and the 15-inch front and 14-inch rear disks are ventilated and perforated to ensure unimpeded heat transfer. Overall exterior styling is subtly different from the V8 with one of the most noticeable features being the full LED headlights - The R8 features a total of 24 LED daytime running lights, symbolic of Audi victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The R8 V10 comes standard with the Audi Parking System (w/front and rear parking sensors as well as rearview camera), Bang Olufsen Sound System, Audi Navigation and nearly everything from the V8 4.2 liter R8 carries over to the V10 model.
